The Boys' Brigade was founded in Glasgow on 4th October 1883 by Sir William Alexander Smith and in 2008 we celebrated our 125th Anniversary.
The official Boys' Brigade 125th Anniversary website details events which took place all over the country to celebrate this milestone.
3rd Basingstoke joined a special church service at Romsey Abbey on Sunday September 14th 2008 where all the Boys' Brigade companies in Hampshire joined in celebration.
The parade began in Romsey Memorial Park with a service at Romsey Abbey. This was followed by an inspection by the guests of honour in the Abbey grounds with a presentation to Queens' Men and Duke of Edinburgh's Award holders before parading back to the Memorial Park.
